SPEAK promoting peace through sports
Although world Health Organisation (WHO) has made available all information concerning Covid-19, it has not been easy to pass it to the local communities at the grassroot level. SPEAK used its Salama Champions Program to train youths on disseminating right information about Covid-19 risks, communication and awareness.
SPEAK distributing sanitary pads to the adolescent school going girls in commemoration of the 16 days of activism. We have continued giving this support after realizing the gap that is created by lack of these essential items and how it affects the concentration and performance of girl child at school compared to their male counterparts.
Distribution of PPEs to candidate classes shortly before Primary exams commenced to help protect themselves against the virus during the exams period. This was supported through our Salama Champions project.
SPEAK gives support to very vulnerable people, in terms of food items in the community through “EatBitcoin” program with support from Bitcoin.
SALAMA (“Wellness” in english) CHAMPION is the project on covid-19 that focusses on giving out information about covid-19 to people. Ask SPEAK, we have trained more than 20 Salama Champions to add a brick in the fight against this pandemic.
